Just a Little Boast!

I want to have a little boast about my wonderful husband-to-be! From the moment I met him I just knew he’d be the man I’d married and I’ve been so incredibly blessed by God with Jeff. I’ve been listening to some podcasts called ‘The Peasant Princess’ which is a sermon series on the book Song of Solomon.

The series is all about marriage and sex from a biblical point of view and I would recommend it to anyone who is getting married or who is married. As I’ve listened I have found myself agreeing with almost everything that is said and it has helped me so much to understand the way that Jeff is. He’s not perfect but he has been blessed with so many Godly qualities and I’m very grateful for this.

I can honestly say that Jeff always puts me first and would always protect me. He would drive 5hrs just to give me a hug if I needed it and would give up spending time with his friends for me. He wants to get married more than anything and I think this is a rare thing amoungst men these days. He is the head of us but listens to my thoughts and takes my feelings into consideration every time. Nothing is too expensive, too extravagant or to difficult as far as he is concerned and he is always willing to make my dreams comes true.

Now I wouldn’t say that picking out colours, organising guest lists and decorations is really something Jeff is interested in, at all. But whilst we’ve been planning our wedding he has been more than happy to sit and look at bridal magazines or at photos online for hours. Not because he enjoys it but because he loves me and wants to make me happy. What a man hey!!!!!
This blog post is just a boast about the man I am going to marry because I want everyone to know how wonderful he is and just how much I love him. I hope that you all can be as happy and blessed as I am!

God Bless.

Easter Long Weekend

I can't believe it's Easter again! The year always goes so fast and we're back here again, but that's okay because I love chocolate. At the moment I'm trying to eat very carefully to lose some weight before I go looking for my wedding dress. We'll see how things go while chocolate and hot cross buns are all around me!!!

Yesterday we went over to Brett and Kate's house (Jeff's brother and his fiance) to have a BBQ and chat about their wedding setup. It's not long now until their big day, 2 weeks tomorrow I believe. I feel really excited for them and it also means that Jeff and I will be getting married in a year and a half. Did I mention our wedding date... Saturday 25th September 2010 is the plan! We just have to book our reception place so we can get that date.

Reception Venues

Mum and I have been looking at heaps of wedding venues over the past few weeks and now have a list we'd like to check out. We're trying to decide whether to look at them over these school holidays or wait a bit longer. Since we would really like that particular date we might have to start looking soon.

For Easter we are having my family over for dinner. Mum and I are cooking Cannelloni, roast potatos and desserts for everyone and decorating the house! We've also got lots of chocolate eggs, yum!!!

Not a whole lot else has been going on other then Jeff and I both trying to find full time jobs and looking at the house we really love!!!

Not A lot to Do!

At the moment I really don't have a lot to do with myself! I'm finding it really hard to get work with Education Queensland because of my vision problems and I cannot drive to go out anywhere. Everyday I'm stuck at home with nothing but the computer or TV to keep me company.

It actually really frustrating! I have my degree and I know I'm capable but EQ is fighting pretty hard to keep me out of teaching. It's hard to know what to do next! So for now I'm mostly at home. I've had a couple of days of work so far but not a lot. Maybe it will get better next term or they will find me a job! All I can do is put my faith in God to find me something or.... nothing at all. For now I'm just trying to be content and enjoy my time off!!!

Flooding at Home

The rain has arrived on the coast and it's causing quite some flooding! I'm a bit like a little kid still because I get so excited when it floods. I'm quite content knowing our house is fairly safe but out the front always goes under and its quite exciting. Last night I just couldn't sleep because of the constant rain all night. I went outside a few times with a tourch but when light came I could actually see the water.

Our driveway is underwater but its stopped raining now and I think we're free from anymore for a while! Got some cool pics and hopefully the rest of the coast isn't to water damaged and people just stay out of the flood waters!
